About the Durban International Marathon 2023
This event is split into two parts – a 10km race and a 42.2km marathon. The Durban International Marathon incorporates the South African Marathon Championship, and is a Comrades Marathon qualifier. The marathon is part of the Abbott World Marathon Majors, and takes place on Sunday the 12th of March 2023. A few race day facts you should know:
- Entry fees are R200-R260 for the 10km and R350 for the 42.2km marathon
- Both races start at 06h05 on 12 March 2023
- Cut-off time for the 10km is 2 hours 30 minutes
- Cut-off time for the 42.2km is 6 hours
- Medals awarded to all runners who finish within the cut-off times
- All athletes to please park their vehicles at Suncoast Casino
