You’ll meet our reception teams when you check in and they’ll be your lifeline throughout your stay. So, consider saving the hotel’s WhatsApp number to your phone. Need an extra pillow or blanket? Contact reception. Aircon not working? Contact reception. Running out of tea or coffee in your room? You guessed it: contact reception! Whatever your challenge is during your stay with us, be sure to let our reception teams know so that they can resolve it and ensure your stay remains hassle-free.
Uncapped Wi-Fi for the win
We know you’ll be keen to tell your friends all about the good times you’re having with us! That’s why we offer all guests complimentary, uncapped Wi-Fi. Catch up on social media, post your latest TikToks, send your work emails, hold online meetings or binge your favourite streaming service shows using our fast, reliable internet. No matter what your reasons, we keep you connected throughout your stay – load shedding be damned!
Enjoy our eco-friendly amenities
Our bathroom toiletries are free and yours to use during your stay (or take home as souvenirs). If you’ve run out of important toiletries or you’ve forgotten to pack an essential bathroom item, like your toothbrush or razor, contact the reception desk. They have certain essential items for sale. You can pat yourself on the back when using our amenities: they are environmentally friendly and free from single-use plastic. These include our Hair & Body Bars that replace plastic shampoo and body wash bottles.
Eat, drink and be merry
All of our properties have restaurants that offer delicious breakfasts, lunches and dinners. Be sure to check out our new cocktail menu available at Courtyard Hotels, City Lodge Hotels and Town Lodges. Or order a glass of Prosecco or a draught beer (available at select hotels). Tantalize your tastebuds with our hearty ribs and potato chips or wedges, a selection of delicious pizzas, or a healthy salad to name just a few items on our revamped menus. If you fancy eating in your pyjamas in front of the TV, our team will gladly tray up your order for you to take back to your room.
Snack attack
Craving a midnight snack while staying with us? Hit up our vending machines near the reception desk and take your pick of sweet or savoury snacks and cold beverages. We all love watching the coils release their goodies and hear the satisfying thud as your chosen treat lands in the tray below. Also, forget about hiding your snacks when heading back to your room – you’ll be surprised to find out just how many midnight snackers we have staying with us!
Stay hydrated
We want you to stay hydrated during your stay, and have set up hydration stations near reception in all of our hotels, dispensing free chilled magnesium-enriched filtered water in still and sparkling variants. Top up your own water bottle or use one of the glasses provided. Either way, we’re prioritizing your hydration while spending time in our properties. Forget buying a new bottle of water every time you go exploring when you can get it for free at your hotel!
Take a dip in the pool
Most of our properties have sparkling swimming pools and outdoor spaces begging to be relaxed in. So, pack your costumes and make the most of the excellent year-round summer sunshine we enjoy in South Africa. In winter, embrace the ice plunge trend, or lounge poolside with a good book and a warm beverage! We have dedicated swimming towels, especially for use around the pool so you don’t need to pack your own or run the risk of spoiling the fluffy white towels in your room.
Book a shuttle
Many of our City Lodge Hotel Group properties offer to book an independently-run shuttle service to get you to and from where you’d like to go at a reasonable price for your account. We can arrange your shuttles to and from the airport, nearby shopping centres or other nearby entertainment destinations. Speak to your reception team and enquire about the shuttle rates and availability – then let us take care of the rest.
Let us reward you
If you’re not yet a member of our CLHG Rewards loyalty programme, we have to ask: where have you been? Sign up and earn points on every accommodation booking you make via our website (www.clhg.com), for walk-in stays or when you telephone one of our hotels directly. Simply reference your CLHG Rewards membership number! Once you have accumulated enough loyalty points, use them to “pay” for future accommodation or bed and breakfast stays.
Save with our specials
We always have a few specials on the go, offering discounted accommodation rates and other great promotions. WOZA Friday means discounted rates when booking on the last Friday of the month and our WKND Special means saving big on accommodation every weekend.
