The Temptations, originally formed in Detroit, Michigan in the United States, was a pop band that made international music waves throughout the 1960s and 1970s. They were instrumental in the development of R&B and soul music, pioneering a style that was replicated by many musicians of the time – and is still incorporated in the pop music of today.

If you’re a fan of songs like “My Girl” and “Cloud Nine” then you’re going to love tapping your feet and moving your body to the sweet sounds of The Temptations Review, coming to South Africa for one night only in February!

Who is The Temptations Review?

The Temptations Review featuring Dennis Edwards was the iteration of the iconic singing group up until Edwards’ death in 2018. While band members have come and gone since they first hit the stage circa 1964, Dennis Edwards remained lead singer and part of the furniture since 1968.

The Temptations Review can be considered a splinter group of The Temptations, still bringing the fan-favourite tunes to adoring audiences across the planet.

Who is Tony Brooks Blue Notes?

“If you don’t know me by now” is a song you’ll hear when attending A Trip Down Memory Lane at Carnival City in February. You’ll hear from Tony Brooks, well-known R&B singer, songwriter and latest frontman of The Blue Notes.

Tony has been performing professionally since he was a child, making him the perfect man to lead this memorable band bringing back the best R&B music of the 1970s and 1980s.
