THE EASY WAY

Of course, the easiest way to travel from Tshwane to Johannesburg is to hop on the Gautrain and enjoy the ride. Jump on at Hatfield or Centurion and zoom along at 160 kilometres an hour, while you catch up on some emails or put the final touches on that important presentation. The Gautrain will take you wherever you need to go in Johannesburg, with stations situated at convenient spots, including Rhodesfield and Marlborough. We’d vote the Gautrain as our first choice for this commute because you’re not only scoring a little work time, but you don’t need to worry about traffic either. That’s a little bit of joy right there!

BUSINESS TRAVELLER’S BEST FRIEND

Getting around town and making sure you’re on time for
your meetings used to entail renting a car, navigating your way along unfamiliar freeways and, sometimes, getting hopelessly lost. That’s not a problem anymore, thanks to Uber, which really is the business traveller’s best friend. Simply open the app, book your ride, and bingo, you’ll be on your way! This not only saves money but a whole bunch of time too and gives you more reasons to be joyful on this journey.

THE SCENIC ROUTE

Perhaps you do need to tackle that drive on your own – that’s okay! If you’ve hired a car for your time around town, or are using your own, don’t forget to check your petrol gauge and do a general safety check of your vehicle before leaving. If your travel allowance covers it, book yourself the most comfortable ride you can. Travelling along the N1 will get you where you need to be in just over an hour, but if you’ve got some time on your hands, you could take a little detour. Turn off and pop in for tea at Irene Dairy Farm in Centurion or head over to Fourways Mall for a spot of shopping. Go on, you deserve a little downtime!
