Whether staying at one of our hotels for business, or for leisure, we’ve all got to eat right? And a big problem when traveling is trying to find great local places to eat, without first happening upon some duds. So we’ve come to the rescue and given you some delicious options – no matter which of our South African hotels you will be staying in.

We’ve divided our suggestions up into lunch and dinner, because we can’t ignore the delicious breakfast options offered at our hotels. Start your foodie day off right at the hotel, and then venture forth to explore the culinary offerings around you!

POLOKWANE:

Lunch – Pot n’ Plow, Magoesbaskloof is a great option for family friendly dining, as well as entertaining evenings filled with live music while you enjoy wholesome food.

Dinner – Cappello’s has something for everyone, from sushi, to cocktails, to delicious burgers.

MBOMBELA:

Lunch – Koek ‘n Pan Restaurant, Kaapschehoop is famous for their giant pancakes, making them definitely worth a visit while staying in the area!

Dinner – Kuzuri is all about taking old favourites and putting their own funky and delicious twist on them. They take pride in using the best ingredients, and you are sure to enjoy your meal here, no matter whether you go for a quick bite to eat between meetings, for a business dinner, or a meal with the family.

JOHANNESBURG:

Lunch – love food is all about enjoying delicious meals that you wish you had the time to make at home, but never get round to making. No fast food, mass produced stuff here – just good quality food to either sit and enjoy there, or to take away.

Dinner – Looking for some great German cuisine? Schwabinger Stuben is the place to go! Whether for a pub-style dinner, or a corporate event, you’ll be sorted.

MIDRAND:

Lunch – Da Vincenso Restaurant will tick all the right boxes if you’re looking for a great Italian meal. You can also enquire about hiring it out as a venue.

Dinner – Another delicious Italian option when staying in Midrand is Papachinos. You will not be disappointed.

POTCHEFSTROOM:

Lunch – Beef Boys Grill is a great option for impressing clients and customers when visiting Potchefstroom, while still having a casual enough atmosphere to have a good time at any time of day.

Dinner – The Roots is a good venue to keep up your sleeve, as it caters for events such as weddings, while also being casual with their coffee shop. SO whatever your need – enjoy!

PRETORIA:

Lunch – Geet Indian Restaurant is as authentic Indian as it gets!

Dinner – La Pentola, a great fusion restaurant also referred to as “The International Saucepan” has something for everyone.

RUSTENBURG:

Lunch – Isabella’s Cake and Food Shop is a treat for anyone with a sweet tooth!

Dinner – Kenny Gee’s Restaurant is the perfect place to go to for the evening after an eventful day. Let your hair down, enjoy the live music and some cocktails and really take in the local magic.

BLOEMFONTEIN:

Lunch – When you stay in Bloemfontein, you have to visit Seven on Kellner – it’s just mandatory.

Dinner – There’s no place quite like The New York in Bloemfontein, go for the visuals, stay for the delicious meal.
