We are very pleased to announce that the City Lodge Hotel Group had two national winners in the 1 and 2 star hotel category, Road Lodge East London and Town Lodge Midrand, in last week’s 2014 Annual Lilizela/Imvelo Sustainable Development Awards.
This is a wonderful and well deserved achievement for General Managers, Francois van Heerden and Shelley Steel, as well as their entire team! It goes to show that with a little effort and ongoing commitment from the hotel team, superb results and successes can be achieved. Well done to both Teams on the well-deserved wins!
All of these responsible tourism initiatives are driven by the passion and commitment of the general manager and both Shelley and Francois need to be commended for the continued dedication and drive which they have instilled in their teams.
In addition to our winning hotels, we are also extremely proud of our other hotels that were finalists for the same awards.

Along with these great achievements, City Lodge Hotel Group was also the B-BBEE Award winner in the category Large Enterprise, which recognises those who have achieved transformation in the tourism sector and view B-BBEE as a business imperative.
