Often we choose to live in a city because we like it there – albeit the climate, scenery, culture, or something else that appeals to us – but then a few years in we get caught up in the humdrum of life and perhaps lose a bit of the original love we had for it, seeing fewer of the sights, and doing fewer of the unique activities available in that place.

So we think it’s time we all adopted a tourist mindset towards our own cities, and really start to embrace the positives about where we live.
To help us do this, City Lodge Hotel Group has commissioned a bevy of travel bloggers to come and stay at our various hotels throughout the country and write about their experiences in each specific city!
This means that over the next few months different writers will be tapping away at their keyboards and snapping some shots, which we will then be sharing as “Tourist in your own city” blog posts. We will also share some of their pictures, tweets and more. Through them we look forward to being reminded of all that our cities have to offer to those who are prepared to take the time and effort to open their eyes and revisit the places they call home!
