Last week we brought you the best places to eat near our inland hotels, so it’s only fair that this week we highlight the delicious delicacies offered around our coastal hotels.
Let us know in the comments if you’ve tried any of these great places, as well as about any other you recommend!
KIMBERLEY:
Lunch – Looking for a simple and delicious lunch to break up your day? Go to Burgundys Restaurant.
Dinner – Williston Mall is an experience and a half – plan your day around spending some extra time here.
CAPE TOWN:
Lunch – The Dog’s Bollocks is an experience never to be forgotten – give it a try!
Dinner – Rick’s Café Americain has a great atmosphere, and even better food.
PORT ELIZABETH:
Lunch – Need that sugar kick in the middle of your day to keep you going? Go to Bocadillos Bakery & Café.
Dinner – If craft beer is your weakness, you need to try out Bridge Street Brewery during your stay.
EAST LONDON:
Lunch – Delicious Italian fare, from the cappuccinos to the traditional desserts, Café Bella is a great option to try when staying in East London.
Dinner – Burnside Farm and Cafe will entertain the kids before and after the family sits down to a delicious meal.
GEORGE:
Lunch – Visit The Rose on York Restaurant for some great daytime specials, or catch one of their famous themed evenings for a good night out.
Dinner – Kafe Serefe is an experience you definitely don’t want to miss out on when visiting George – and if we don’t convince you, maybe the fact that the restaurant won the CX-press Culinary Legends Award for 2013 for its consistent high standard of cuisine and service will.
DURBAN:
Lunch – Freedom Café, Greyville is a local treasure that definitely lives up to its name. They don’t even stick to housing the café in a traditional building. The food is just as delicious as the venue is eccentric.
Dinner – Looking for a delicious Italian meal, in an equally Italian inspired setting? Then Stretta Café, Hillcrest is the place for you! If you’re lucky you may also be around for one of their famous craft beer tasting evenings as well.
RICHARDS BAY:
Lunch – Elephant & I has a proud history in Richards Bay, having been the setting for many a family celebration, as well as business deals over the years. Go to try the delicious coffee, stay for the atmosphere.
Dinner – The Hot Spot Food Fusion is a great option for anyone looking to satisfy a craving for Asian inspired meals. A hidden gem in Richards Bay that’s got a great atmosphere as well as great food.
UMHLANGA:
Lunch – Cacao Chocolate Bar is heaven on earth for all chocolate lovers – we challenge you to have a 3 course chocolate meal!
Dinner – Little Havana is a special little Cuban treat nestled in Umhlanga. Not only can you visit for a great meal, but also book the venue for a conference or special event.
